Reverend Al Sharpton gives an inspiring message to graduates about what is means to come out of the Lab. He highlights what it means to have this legacy. He drives home that point that students can go into a bright and promising future with pride at the accomplishment of being from the Lab.
Players Coalition Partnership with Brooklyn LAB
Players Coalition Co-Founder Anquan Boldin and Arizona Cardinals Offensive Tackle and Players Coalition Task Force Member Kelvin Beachum visited Brooklyn LAB to present a grant to help strengthen and deepen our existing computer science, engineering, and workforce connections. The grant also includes hosting TEDxYouth@BrooklynLab, a night of talks focused on the intersection of social justice, education, and criminal justice reform.

On November 11, 2020, Brooklyn Lab hosted its first ever TEDxYouth event, showcasing talks and performances from Brooklyn LAB and other high school students. The talks specifically highlight Gen Z’s vision for the future and their take on critical issues like racial justice, teenage mental health, gender identity, climate resiliency, and more.
